First Down for Families is a student-led service club that brings the spirit of faith, a heart for service, along with the love of football into the community. Through service projects, we support children and families facing difficult times and help them gain ground with kindness, compassion and hope.

Make a Difference for a Family

When a child is in the hospital or a family is going through a difficult time, small acts of kindness can mean a lot. Through First Down for Families, financial donations provide hygiene items, blankets, stuffed animals, activity kits, school supplies, and other essentials for local families in need. Your monetary support allows students, athletes and others with a similar passion to serve our community with purpose — help families gain ground one first down at a time. Donations of any size are appreciated.

About Us

Hi, I'm Sinjin Ciaffa. I am a high school Junior in Ponte Vedra, FL. I have a passion for all things football-my high school team, Jacksonville Jaguars and College football. I am fortunate that I get to play football in high school and I hope I can continue to play in college.

It is also important to me and my christian faith to help others where I can.

At First Down for Families, my goal is to take the things my faith and football have taught me — teamwork, effort, sharing hope, showing up, and caring for people — and use them to help families who are going through tough times. Whether it’s providing hygiene kits, clothes, or backpacks for families who need support, my clubmates and I want our efforts to make their life a little easier.

This club is made up of students and athletes, but we are also part of this community, and we can advance hope one first down at a time.
